Coffee as Medicine

I LOVE COFFEE. This often comes as a surprise to the people I work with. They are always bracing themselves, expecting me to ask them to give up coffee, and let out a sigh of relief when I tell them I won’t do that.
What I will do is strongly suggest that they avoid consuming POISON such as Dunkin Doughnuts and Starbucks or other corporations like these that serve diabetes in a cup through a window.
In this email I will share with you the recipe for what my friends call “Cameron’s Coffee.”
I will share with you how I brew my coffee, what I put in it & why.
One of the most important things to me is reducing the risk of exposure to mold.
Most coffee machines harbor mold and other substances that can slowly and quietly harm our bodies.
The 2 ways that I reduce the risk of exposure are:
I grind my beans at home. I have a small coffee grinder and once a week I will spend 5 minutes grinding enough beans to last me a week or so.
I use a french press. You can also use a pour-over or the like to brew your coffee. This way you can wash everything after each use and prevent mold & bacteria build up.
The ingredients for my coffee include:
Fresh ground coffee beans
Fresh ground cinnamon sticks
Reishi Mushroom (OM)
Lions Mane Mushroom (OM)
MCT Oil
Chobani Creamer
How I prepare:
I put 2 tablespoons of coffee (adjust as needed for your process) & 2-3 teaspoons of cinnamon into the french press before pouring the hot water in.
In my coffee cup I put ½ - 1 teaspoon of the mushroom powders.
I pour the coffee into my cup of powders and I stir thoroughly before adding the creamer.
After I add my creamer (which by the way, I call Chobani my dirty little sin. I love it so much), then I add a squirt of MCT oil.
Why I use these ingredients and links to purchase them for yourself:
Cameron’s Organic Coffee Beans - maybe I am a little biased because of the name - but the taste and quality of these beans never disappoint.
Fresh ground cinnamon - I add cinnamon into the french press to help stabilize blood sugar levels, reduce inflammation, receive more antioxidants, boost my metabolism and help maintain a healthy weight, nourish my heart, and more! I grind the cinnamon fresh myself and if you would like to purchase some, send me a message!
Reishi Mushroom Powder - I love Reishi for so many reasons. It’s an incredible adaptogen that helps to reduce the cortisol in our body, strengthen the immune system, and nourish the respiratory system. It also helps to reduce the acidity in coffee. The only mushroom brand I know and trust is OM. I get their powder.
Lions Mane Mushroom Powder - If you haven’t read my article on Lions Mane, you can do so by clicking here. I highly recommend reading it! Lions Mane helps to reduce anxiety that coffee can cause, nourish and strengthen the brain and nervous system, and help to produce overall feelings of well being. I also use the OM brand mushroom powder.
MCT Oil - Also known as medium chain triglycerides, MCT oil is straight fuel for the brain! It nourishes and strengthens the brain, boosts metabolism and helps with weight management, it gives a boost of energy & more! Here is the brand that I like to use. If you choose a different brand, I recommend making sure that it is sourced from coconut and not palm kernel.
Let me know how you like to make your coffee! Or, if you give this recipe a try - let me know what you think! Let me know of any additions or changes that you made - I am so curious!

So I've been dumping the mushroom powder in with the coffee grounds. Don't know why I didn't think to just add it to the cup.
This sounds so good! Definitely going to try this
Definitely trying this! It sounds delicious!
