Food for Thought - Blood Work

Writer's picture: Cameron JewellCameron Jewell

I’ve seen it over and over again in my years of practice.

I’ve watched people pay thousands of dollars for various fancy, “high tech” testing, followed by a number of prescriptions and / or supplements that may bring some relief for a time but do not offer long-term, sustainable vitality.

At times it seems like society is always looking for the next big thing that will answer all of their questions and solve all of their problems with minimum work required of the person.

I believe it to be just another of the many traps set by those in control to keep us sick and stuck in the hamster wheel.

Here is something many people do not know - less than 1% of your magnesium levels can be found in your blood serum. Magnesium deficiency is a leading contributor to a LONG list of health problems that so many people suffer from. Yet, their blood results say that their magnesium levels are fine when in reality they really have no idea.

Most of our magnesium is in the tissue of the heart, deep within the cells of the body, and in our bones and those levels can not be shown in a blood test.

This is just one example of one type of test.

Somewhere along the way, we humans have lost the knowledge of the immense power of connection - connection to our food, to our land, to our community, and ultimately to ourselves.

This disconnection is the root to many of our problems as a society.

We possess the innate knowledge of what our body needs. Our body has the ability to correct any imbalances occurring within it, if given the proper nourishment.

90% of the time, that nourishment is not going to come from a pharmaceutical drug or some standardized plant extracts.

As I said, you may feel a difference for a bit but the probability of maintaining that is low.

The reconnection required for optimal health and vitality requires radical accountability, responsibility, and effort.

Our lives have been orchestrated to keep us burnt out, over-stimulated, and too “busy” to invest the time it takes to live a healthy lifestyle.

Community Nourishment recognizes these challenges and works with people 1:1 and in group settings to make small, consistent changes that gradually lead to large, long lasting results.

We aim to empower the people to step out of the rat race and into their sovereignty.

It’s not easy and requires much strength and fierce determination.

Do you have it in ya?
