Damiana Tincture

Turnera aphrodisiaca

The latin name alone gives hint to what Damiana has to offer and although being an aphrodisiac is what damiana is most “known for'' - Damiana has more to offer.

I like working with Damiana to relax muscles and increase circulation throughout our body because increasing blood flow also means sending more nutrients to the nerves and tissues in the body, which may be why Damiana has a strengthening, tonifying effect on the nervous system.

Damiana is a key herb in our Liquid Zen formula because it is helpful in relieving stress, supporting us in relaxing, and bringing us more into the present moment.

Just a few more ways that Damiana can support you:

  • Helping you to wind down after a day of work - leave work at work and be home at home.

  • Mood enhancement

  • Relieve feelings of depression / mental sluggishness

  • Increase YANG - vital energy.

  • Support the digestive system

  • Contains nutrients & antioxidants

Damiana is a very cool herb to work with when you’re setting an intention to build a relationship with an herb for any reason at all. We like to practice the “simpling method” when building relationships with herbs and the simpling method is when you work with a single herb in the form of tea, tincture, capsules, etc. over a period of time and note any changes that you may experience in your body or life during that time.

Damiana is an herb where most of the time you will feel a change or sensation in your body shortly after consuming, which can be fun when getting to know medicine.

As always, we encourage you to read, study, ask questions and do your own research. If you would like to work with our Damiana tincture, you can find it in our store or call/text (904)-295-7384 or email

This blog is intended to provide information on this herb/remedy that I use regularly in my life. This blog is for educational purposes only, mainly for people who work with me or my remedies and are looking for information on how and why I use them and information on the ingredients. There is much more research and information on each herb and I always encourage everyone to ask lots of questions and dive into research for themselves as well as consulting with a professional. Visit our "resources" tab at the top for a list of SOME of our favorite books/teachers/videos.

Thank you!
