Blue Vervain Tincture

Blue Vervain is an excellent herb for people who tend to be work-a-holics or have type A personalities. This herb is often used to help get people our of their minds and more grounded into their bodies.

Here is some information I read about blue vervain from Matthew Woods book "The Earthwise Herbal. A Complete Guide to New World Medicinal Plants."

Blue Vervain is suggested for people who are incredibly intense, who have strong wills and tend to impose their will onto others. It is helpful for people who put incredibly high standards, if not impossible standards, on themselves and others. It is said to be helpful for people who "have to much energy above and not enough energy below" which can be translated to people who think so much, have great ideas, want to do much but do not have the physical energy to do so. It is said that blue vervain can help menopausal women with night sweats and hot flashes.

I use blue vervain to help me to calm my mental chatter, reduce sugar cravings, and help me to learn how to be in and appreciate the moment that I am in and everything that I have.

Blue vervain has something to offer almost every organ and system in our body including our nervous system, digestive system, cardiovascular system, our liver & kidneys - and more!

You can visit our resource page to find book references and more resources that you can use to begin learning about herbalism and specific herbs!

I recommend when you begin working with this tincture, that you start with 5 drops at a time, though I take a whole dropper-full myself.
